Experimental stations open for collaborations

Our group is involved in several collaborative projects within its scientific fields and our endstations are open for collaboration. We encourage everybody interested in perforing studies suited to the available sources and chambers, which can also be equipped with tools provided by intested collaborators. The following overview shows the endstations and chambers which can be provided by the workgroup.

Possible investigations: ultra fast dynamics of chemical processes, catalysis, electron transfer and magnetization
Light sources: FELs (FLASH)
Contact: L. Wenthaus

Possible investigations: ultra fast dynamics of band structures, lattices, chemical processes and electron transfer
Light sources: FELs (FLASH), HHG in lab.
Contact: D. Kutnyakhov

Possible investigations: magnetism of surfaces, thin films, and supported nanostructures and molecules
Light sources: P04 at the PETRA III synchrotron
Contact: I. Baev

The fast switching high magnetic field chamber attached to a mass seleting cluster source at the P04 beamline of PETRA III.

Possible investigations: magnetism of surfaces, thin films, and supported metallic clusters
Light sources: P04 at the PETRA III synchrotron
Contact: F. Kielgast

Possible investigations: Charge transfer and molecule bond dynamics, non-linear effects in free atoms and molecules
Light sources: FEL (FLASH), HHG (Lab source)
Contact: K. Mertens

Spectrometer for shot-to-shot wavelength at high repetition FELs mounted behind a spectroscopy chamber for gaseous targets at the BL2 beamline of FLASH.

Usable for: Shot-to-shot wavelength analysis of SASE fluctuations of FLASH (e.g. for correlation to measured shot-to-shot electronic spectra).
Light sources: FEL (FLASH) behind transparent experiments.
Contact: S. Palutke

Possible investigations: Absolute x-ray absoption measurement, photo fragmentation and reaction studies of free ionic atoms, molecules and clusters.
Light sources: P04 at the PETRA III synchrotron (fixed endstation)
Contact: S. Reinwardt

Usable for: Production of mass selected metallic cluster. It be attached to PIPE to generate a beam of metalic cluster ions or to the High magnetic field chamber to produce samples of supported clusters on thin films or surfaces.
Contact: F. Kielgast
