Photoionization chamber for free atoms and molecules

The photoion and photoelectron chamber for free atoms and molecules is a UHV chamber build for the investigation of neutral gases or vapors interacting with extreme light fields. This interaction can be probed with intense, element specific soft x-ray pulses and the corresponding molecular dynamics via the pump-probe technique at the free-electron laser FLASH.
The chamber features a high efficient magnetic bottle type electron spectrometer with a detection angle of 4pi and an ion spectrometer for the detection of ions and charged fragments. The chamber can also be attached to HHG lab source.
