Soft X-ray spectroscopy of clusters, surfaces and interfaces |
Within a large collaboration a beamline for material studies with extreme intense and short soft x-ray pulses was designed and build at the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) free-electron laser at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. It is available for studies of broad scientific field including ultrafast chemistry, surface science, magnetism, highly correlated systems, matter under extreme conditions and laboratory astrophysics.
For more information, see the design presenting publication Rev. Sci. Instr. 83, 043107 (2012) and the SXR - Soft X-ray Materials Science webpage of the LCLS.
